Each Eligible Referral Earns You $500
The $500 is paid into your account directly upon receipt of a completed invoice and ID verification.
What is an eligible referral
In order for the referral to be eligible, the referral needs to produce a loan draw down of a minimum of $250,000. The lending needs to be a commission earning event which excludes loan maintenance or bridging deals. Further Terms below.
How do I receive the $500
Upon settlement of a successful referral we will contact you within 10 business days with a form to complete and provide your nominated account number. We will also ask you to attach a selfie with your ID to meet our AML and compliance requirements. Upon receipt of this we will make a payment into your nominated account within 3 business days.

NZ Mortgage & Finance – Referral Rewards Programme

By participating in this Referral Rewards Programme (the “Programme”), you agree to the following Terms & Conditions:
​
1. Eligibility
1.1. The Referred Client must meet all standard lending approval criteria of NZ Mortgage & Finance and its lending partners.
1.2. Referrers must not provide any financial or lending advice to the Referred Client. Any guidance, suggestions, or product information must come solely from a licensed financial adviser of NZ Mortgage & Finance.
2. Reward
2.1. The Referrer will be eligible for a $500 reward for each Successful Referral.

2.2. The referrer must be an existing or previous client of NZ Mortgage & Finance.

2.3. You are not able to refer yourself
2.4. A “Successful Referral” is defined as: A new loan facility of $250,000 or more that reaches financial settlement (drawdown) between 19 August 2025 and 20 February 2026.
The loan must result in commission-payable lending to NZ Mortgage & Finance.
Eligible lending includes new purchases, refinances, or new lending of $250,000 or more.
2.5. The $500 reward:
Is payable per Successful Referral only.
Is not repayable by the client and applies to long-term lending only.
Is not payable in respect of bridging finance or loan restructures.
Is not payable on your own lending. You are not able to refer yourself.
3. Exclusions
3.1. Bridging finance is excluded. For the purposes of this Programme, “bridging finance” means short-term finance that is intended to be repaid within a short period of time, regardless of the purpose of the lending.

3.2. Loan restructures are excluded, as they do not generate new commission-payable lending. However, loan top-ups and extensions of $250,000 or more will qualify, provided they meet all other criteria.

3.3. Any subsequent lending by the Referred Client beyond the initial qualifying period ending the 18th of February 2026, does not generate additional rewards.
4. Multiple Referrals
4.1. Referrers may refer multiple clients.

4.2. Each referral that meets the eligibility criteria will earn a separate $500 reward.
5. Timing
5.1. Only referrals received by NZ Mortgage & Finance on or after 19 August 2025 are eligible.

5.2. The Referred Client’s loan must reach full drawdown between 19 August 2025 and 20 February 2026. Loans settled outside this period will not qualify.
6. Payment of Rewards
6.1. An acceptance form confirming the reward will be issued to the Referrer within 10 business days of a Successful Referral being verified.

6.2. NZ Mortgage & Finance will request identity verification through a selfie with your ID before issuing a reward in order to comply with AML/CFT obligations. The ID verification is collected solely for the purpose of processing the reward payment and meeting AML obligations related to third-party payments.

6.3. Rewards will be paid within 5 business days of NZ Mortgage & Finance receiving the signed acceptance form.

6.4. Rewards are non-transferable, non-exchangeable, and cannot be redeemed for alternatives other than as set out in these Terms & Conditions.

6.5. By providing your bank account details, you authorise NZ Mortgage & Finance to use this information solely for the purpose of processing your referral reward. Your information will be stored securely and will not be disclosed to any third party unless required by law. You may request correction or deletion of your personal data at any time in accordance with our privacy policy.

6.6. This information will be retained on file for record keeping purposes.
7. Tax Disclaimer
7.1. Referral rewards may be considered taxable income to the recipient. NZ Mortgage & Finance does not withhold tax on these payments and recommends recipients seek independent tax advice. All referral payments are recorded and documented in accordance with IRD and privacy requirements.

7.2. Recipients of referral rewards are responsible for determining and meeting any tax obligations that may arise as a result of receiving the reward. NZ Mortgage & Finance recommends seeking independent tax advice.
8. General
8.1. NZ Mortgage & Finance reserves the right to verify the eligibility of referrals and to withhold or withdraw rewards if it reasonably believes these Terms & Conditions have been breached or manipulated.

8.2. NZ Mortgage & Finance reserves the right to amend or withdraw this Programme at any time, subject to honouring any rewards already earned before such amendment or withdrawal.

8.3. Participation in the Programme constitutes acceptance of these Terms & Conditions.
9. Conflicts of interest
9.1. The payment of referral rewards has no impact on our lending advice or the loan approval process. All lending applications are assessed strictly against the lending criteria of our partner banks and lenders.

9.2. Our advice is based solely on the needs and objectives of the Referred Client. The existence of the Referral Rewards Programme does not influence the recommendations we provide.
​
9.3. The $500 referral reward is paid by NZ Mortgage & Finance and does not create any additional cost to either the Referrer or the Referred Client.

9.4. Referrers are not required to provide financial advice to the Referred Client and should not hold themselves out as doing so. Any advice provided to the Referred Client will only be given by a licensed financial adviser of NZ Mortgage & Finance.
